Calm down, folks.
The internet is not going to be censored. This bill is clearly in direct violation of the 1st Amendment, which means the Supreme Court will rule it unconstitutional. President Obama will not sign it into law, because to do so would kill his chances of reelection. It won’t even pass congress because the majority of them are Republicans. Passing a censorship bill implies big government, which goes against the philosophy most of the party is trying to promote. Passing this bill would erase their credibility, and consequently jeopardize their chances of controlling the White House in 2012. There’s absolutely no reason to panic.
